Straight Outta The Laboratory

on June 15, 2020 No comments

Today at Noon we will be selling cans of Straight Outta The Laboratory at $22 per 4-pk (10.2 % ABV TIPA) No Limit. We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia!
Batch 4 of one of our favorite TIPA’s is back today. This is the first time SOTL has been brewed on South Street and we are extremely happy with the result.
We start of with a Straight Outta Middletown grain bill, supersized the amount of citra and applied what we learned from Henry Street here to create beer bursting with extreme flavor and our signature #EQjuice finish.
Straight Outta The Laboratory pours a hazy bright tangerine and has very strong aromas of freshly squeezed citrus, lime, grapefruit, and a tropical character that makes actual tropical fruit green with envy. The flavor is explosive with notes of bright tropical orange juice, mango smoothie, and dank grass. It’s resinous and chewy with a strong escalating brightness and a just a touch of residual sweetness balanced by a soft bitterness and our juicy finish.

Graceland

on June 10, 2020 No comments

Today at Noon we will be selling Graceland, a collaboration with friends Civil Society Brewing (12% Imperial Stout) at $18 per 500ml bottle (No Limit). We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia!
Graceland was conceptualized when Civil Society came to visit a few months back. We talked with Karl and Evan about making a banana stout for the first time. We didn’t stop there. We decided to add peanut butter, and marshmallow to make an Elvis inspired beer. Graceland pours pitch black with a beautiful mocha head and a peanut butter and marshmallow aroma. Fit for a king, this beer is decadent and incredibly viscous. Flavors of fudge and peanut butter cup hit initially before a balanced banana and marshmallow fluff flavor takes over before the creamy milkshake like finish. Truly dessert in a glass, Graceland will have you all shook up.

Harvested All The Simcoe

on June 10, 2020 No comments
Today at Noon we will be selling Harvested All The Simcoe (10%TIPA) at $22 per 4-pk (No Limit). We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia!
Harvester of Simcoe has been in rotation since being debuted in 2017. We love this mainstay but we have curious, inquisitive, and tripling minds. We love probing, research, and investigation. We had to ask the question, what happens when you scale up? We Harvested All The Simcoe (we literally ran out haha) to find out.
We upped the grain bill, softened up the base while substantially increasing the amount of hops. All the Simcoe. Harvested All The Simcoe pours a murky and deep vivid yellow. It has saturated creamy aromas of bright pine forest, ripe passion fruit, berry compote, more pine, and earth. The taste is a luscious tropical fruit cup on the hottest day, an earthy backbone, with a resinous piney finish that transitions to a firm but very delicate bitterness and an even bigger #EQjuice finish. We are super happy we asked what if…

dHop22

Today at Noon we will be selling dHop 22 (8.5 % DIPA) at $20 per 4-pk (No Limit). We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia!
22 is special to us, it’s the street number of Equilibrium’s first location: 22 Henry Street. A place with fond memories and many good times. It cultivated many relationships and was where we built up our community and culture with you. For the 22nd iteration of the dHop series we had to pay homage to where it all started with a Henry Street touch on the label. dHop 22 aka “dHop Henry Street” features a 100% Citra whirlpool and a 100% Nelson dry hop using Freestyle New Zealand hops. It pours a bright murky yellow and has aromas of citrus, New Zealand gooseberries, melon, and South Pacific open fields. The flavor is rich and juicy with notes of succulent tropical fruit, gooseberry, and grass with a thick body and a juicy buildup that transforms into slight dank finish with a pleasant bitterness. dHop 22 Henry Street is a special beer not only because of the number but because it has been ranked as a top 5 in the series by many here.

Integration and Adjunct Integration

on June 5, 2020 No comments

Today we will be selling Integration and Adjunct Integration (Both 8.5 % DIPA) at $20 for Integration and $22 per 4-pk for Adjunct Integration (No Limit). We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia!
Integration and Adjunct Integration are the first beers to come from our EQ Create poll we held. These two beers represent an integration of you the community to our brewing formulation and a mathematical integration of all the community generated data that you provided. These are the first results of what we are calling our Community Juice Series. We took the top votes in categories for style, process, base, fermentation, and water profile and hit it with EVERY hop listed weighted by its voting frequency to make Integration. We then took half of the yield and added EVERY adjunct option listed in the poll weighted by its voting frequency to make Adjunct Integration.
Integration and Adjunct Integration start off with a base of wheats and oats and a fractal fermentation. We added Citra, Sabro, and Simcoe to the whirlpool and a dry hop of Citra, Galaxy, Riwaka, Nelson, Sabro, and Simcoe. So many hops! Half of that beer was then conditioned on Vanilla, Marshmallow, Lactose, Orange and Lime Zest to become Adjunct Integration.
Integration has aromas of bright citrus zest, orange slices, pine, stone fruit, and melon with flavors of fresh citrus pulp, pineapple, passionfruit, underlying coconut, and touch of berry finish. As requested, the #EQjuice is prominent throughout followed by a pointed bitterness.
Adjunct Integration has an aroma of orange vanilla birthday cake and flavors of a thick tropical fruit shake. Notes of creamy citrus, mango, and peach with a zesty but fluffy marshmallow finish. These beers are made to be fun and we recommend enjoying them side by side so you can conduct your own research right from home. The next beers to come from the series will be directly from your recipes submitted.

Riwakaroo

on June 3, 2020 No comments

Today at Noon we will be selling Riwakaroo (10.0% TIPA) at $22 per 4-pk (No Limit). We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia!
Can you say it? “Riwakaroo” (Ree-wah-kuh-ah-ru) is the next beer in the series that points back to Pete’s recent travel to the Southern Hemisphere. A mother and a smirking joey grace the label on a beer we are very excited to bring you. Riwakaroo is the TIPA version of Roowaka and pours a milky and super hazy yellow. The aroma is explosive with a straight OJ and mango nose. The first sip is pulpy with big notes of grandma’s fresh squeezed OJ, passionfruit, grasslands, grapes, and berries. The melding of balanced sweet fruit comes together in a thick and creamy finish and our big #EQjuice profile with just a touch of bitterness. This beer is a downright crusher and the masked ABV may have you chilling in a pouch in no time if you’re not careful.

Fractal Mosaic

on June 2, 2020 No comments

We are now selling Fractal Mosaic at $16 per four pack, no limit. We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia.
Fractal Mosaic (6.8% IPA) was the first beer we ever brewed and was the first release from our small-batch Fractal research series. A fractal is something simple at the core yet can produce wonderful and amazingly complex results. We use the fractal series to investigate how different hops manifest through our processes, allowing us to optimize both our use of hops and our hopping techniques.
Fractal Mosaic pours a resinous-hazy-straw yellow releasing complex aromas of dank blueberry, citrus, earthy grass, and tropical melon. The taste is a highly resinous blueberry cannabis, melon and pine with a juicy with a slightly creamy mouthfeel, and a firm but rounded bitterness. The medley of characteristics makes the name “Fractal Mosaic” warranted indeed.

South Street Imperium & South Street Experimentum

on June 2, 2020 No comments

Today at noon we will be selling South Street Imperium and South Street Experimentum (Both 8.0%ABV). $20 per 4-pk, no limit. We will have these available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, and Virginia.
Juice experiments are well underway here to explore some of the new toys we have at our new South Street facility.
We had two leading theories on how to best use one of our new toys, both rooted in solid science, preliminary results both looked good… but different. So we thought… lets try both! We brought back the South Street version of the familiar companion set Experimentum and Imperium (Latin for Experiment and Control). Both feature our DIPA sized 2-Row Fractal fermentation, fractal grain bill, and a hop bill of Citra, Mosaic, and Sabra. These beers are parallel in recipe but not process. The difference focuses on two distinct uses of an exclusive piece South Street equipment and Experimentum utilizes our coveted Energy treatment process #twovariables.
Both beers have a candy-like-tiki-cocktail aroma. South Street Imperium has notes and flavors of assorted citrus, peach, and crushed Pez candy with dank and slightly resinous finish and punchy rollercoaster of #EQJuice. South Street Experimentum offers flavors of bright tropical fruit, deep navel orange characteristics with mango and papaya in a distinctly succulently soft body while and crossing the finish line with our EQJuice. With the same ingredients but two different processes, a showdown is underway. Which one do you prefer?
