Maintenance Technician / Delivery Driver

Brewery • Restaurant • Taproom

Location: 2-8 South St. Middletown, NY 10940

Pay: $20/hr

About Us

Equilibrium Brewery is a locally owned brewery, restaurant, and taproom focused on great beer, great food, and a welcoming environment. We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician / Delivery Driver to support facility upkeep and product deliveries.

Job Summary

This hybrid role is responsible for general maintenance, repairs, preventative upkeep, and local deliveries using a box truck. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable switching between maintenance tasks and driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, carpentry, painting, etc.)

  • Maintain and repair brewery, kitchen, and taproom equipment

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections

  • Drive a box truck for local deliveries and pickups (beer, supplies, equipment)

  • Load, unload, and secure deliveries safely

  • Complete delivery logs and vehicle inspections

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies

  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed

  • Assist with seasonal setup, breakdown, and special projects

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance and storage areas

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and vehicle regulations

  • Use of handtruck, pallet jack and forklift

Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred

  • Ability to safely move 165 lbs and perform physical tasks

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

BARTENDER

Job Type: Part-time / Full-time

Equilibrium Brewery is a brewery in Middletown, NY that served its first beer in 2016. We make uncompromisingly great beer founded on scientific principles and a love for drinking craft beer.

We are looking for a dynamic bartender with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality looking to work in a fun and professional environment. Intimate knowledge of craft beer and its culture is important. though not a set prerequisite to fill the role.

Essential Job Duties

Customer Service

  • Assist customers in their beer selections by effectively communicating information about our beer styles and brewing process
  • Provide the same level of customer service to your co-workers as you offer to guests
  • Anticipate customers’ service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible
  • Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner

Bar Service

  • Memorize our food and beverage menus and make recommendations to our guests
  • Serve pours in accordance with Equilibrium’s quality standards
  • Operate and troubleshoot draft equipment and move and change kegs as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area
  • Open and close according to Equilibrium opening and closing procedures
  • Assist during private events and special releases as necessary
  • Follow all alcohol serving laws and safety protocols
  • Processing transactions via our Point of Sale system (Toast)

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Desired Qualifications & Abilities

Experience

  • 2 years of bartending experience (preferably in craft beer environment)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment while maintaining professional standards in demeanor and work efficiency
  • Detail oriented
  • Understands the importance of working within a team setting
  • Willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly bartender wage ($10.00/hr) plus participation in tip pool.
