BARTENDER
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time
Equilibrium Brewery is a brewery in Middletown, NY that served its first beer in 2016. We make uncompromisingly great beer founded on scientific principles and a love for drinking craft beer.
We are looking for a dynamic bartender with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality looking to work in a fun and professional environment. Intimate knowledge of craft beer and its culture is important. though not a set prerequisite to fill the role.
Essential Job Duties
Customer Service
- Assist customers in their beer selections by effectively communicating information about our beer styles and brewing process
- Provide the same level of customer service to your co-workers as you offer to guests
- Anticipate customers’ service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible
- Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner
Bar Service
- Memorize our food and beverage menus and make recommendations to our guests
- Serve pours in accordance with Equilibrium’s quality standards
- Operate and troubleshoot draft equipment and move and change kegs as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area
- Open and close according to Equilibrium opening and closing procedures
- Assist during private events and special releases as necessary
- Follow all alcohol serving laws and safety protocols
- Processing transactions via our Point of Sale system (Toast)
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Desired Qualifications & Abilities
Experience
- 2 years of bartending experience (preferably in craft beer environment)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment while maintaining professional standards in demeanor and work efficiency
- Detail oriented
- Understands the importance of working within a team setting
- Willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly bartender wage ($10.00/hr) plus participation in tip pool.

Equilibrium Brewery is delighted to bring new jobs to Middletown, NY. We are currently seeking a General Laborer to assist with our constantly growing brewery operations.
Job duties include:
- Washing / Stacking kegs.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and push 150lbs, have ability and endurance to be on your feet most of your shift.
- Set up, preparation, and breakdown of canning/packaging line machine and area.
- Assisting with operation of the canning line.
- Moving packaged beer pallets to cold room/ Up from cold room as needed.
- Operation of pallet jack, electric jack, and freight lift.
- Helping to keep the brew/packaging areas clean and organized.
- Have an eye for organization, cleanliness, creative problem-solving.
- Coordination and cooperation with taproom staff
- Other brewery tasks as needed.
The ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, attention to detail along with a passion for beer. Although some experience is preferred, we will train the right candidates. Sales Lead – New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania
Compensation: Base: Starting at $50,000 + Commission
Qualifications:
- Required 1-3 years of experience in brewery sales.
Primary Responsibilities: Open new points of distribution. Increase velocity with existing points of distribution. Oversee New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania territory and manage wholesaler network performance to increase on- and off-premise sales and brand awareness. Set all on- and off-premise sales and distribution goals for wholesaler network. Develop and communicate pricing programs. Assist with wholesaler, retail, and brewery inventory management and forecasting. Interpret sales analytical data and make recommendations for future sales strategies to drive revenue and increase brand strength. Complete regional monthly and quarterly on- and off-premise sales forecasting. Help coordinate Sales Programs with Production, Packaging, and Marketing. Report to the Director of Sales.
Duties/Other Responsibilities:
- Work to establish new accounts.
- Assist with the coordination of sales efforts for other territories with other sales representatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of distribution sales experience required.
