Juice Alert: Collectively, our favorite batch of MC² to date is coming at you this weekend. See below.

This Saturday, 9/29 from 11:30am-6pm at the brewery along with Control Volume, we will be selling cans of Photon and MC².
Photon (4.8% ABV) is our light and crushable American Pale Ale loaded with pacific northwest hops. It pours a very hazy orange, releasing well-blended notes of apricot, tangerine, peach, mango, and pineapple. It tastes of soft juicy tropical fruits, hop resins, and a hint of biscuit. $14 per 4-pack, 1 case limit per person.

MC² (8.0% ABV) is Photon’s big brother. We literally took Photon’s hopping rate and squared it. This DIPA is our tribute to the amazing relationship that energy and mass are balanced, proportional to the speed of a photon squared. It pours a hazy tangerine color, releasing bright tropical notes of mango, pineapple, and apricot. MC² tastes like succulent mango juice loaded with chewy hop resins. On finish, this batch nails the EQ Juice we have been applying to our beers and we are thrilled with the outcome. $18 per 4-pack, 1 case limit per person.

Control Volume!

This Saturday 9/29 from 11:30AM-6PM at the brewery, we are happy to introduce Control Volume at $20 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.

A mathematical model uses a system of equations to simplify and represent reality. It allows for the identification and optimization of important process to achieve a desired flavor profile faster than trial and error alone. To construct a mathematical model, you must identify your Control Volume and the relevant mass fluxes. This will govern how concentrations evolve over time and ultimately yield the final concentrations in the glass that drives the flavor profile.

Control Volume (8.1% ABV) is the first release in a mini series that will help us upscale and apply the small scale discovery we announced with dHop14. Based on the the preliminary modeling efforts, we’ve tried a new yeast strain for the first time based on certain properties and ran it through our evolving process. Control Volume pours a glowing tangerine color. It’s highly aromatic releasing notes of fruit punch, citrus, orange, and slight bubblegum. The taste follows the nose with a soft juicy mouthfeel and firm bitterness for balance.

Flux!

This Saturday 9/22 from 11:30AM-6PM at the brewery along with Raining Belma, we are happy to introduce you to Flux at $16 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.

Flux is a scaled down version of our beloved Fluctuation. Clocking in at 7.0% ABV, it features the same tropical notes as its senior, but as a single version IPA. It’s aromatic, juicy and extremely easy to drink. We believe an experimental twist surprisingly emphasizes an exotic orange presence in addition to mango and passionfruit normally found in Fluctuation (no fruit, just hops in the recipe).

Raining Belma!

This Saturday 9/22 from 11:30AM-6PM at the brewery, we are pleased to introduce Raining Belma (8.1% ABV DIPA) at $20 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.

Raining Belma is the next beer in our Heavy Metal Series. It’s utilizes Belma hops which have flavors of strawberry, citrus, melon and grapefruit. Along with strong notes of strawberry and citrus, we get very high levels of the EQ juice we have been working so diligently on.

Cliff notes from a Europe bound Pete text:
“We nailed the EQ juice in this batch. It’s basically the infamous January Fluctuation batch + Strawberries”

Hop Wave 5

on September 12, 2018 No comments

This Saturday 9/15 from 11:30AM – 6PM at the brewery, we will be selling cans of Hop Wave 5 at $20 per 4-pk, limit 1 case per person. Limits subject to change.
Hop Wave 5 (8.5% ABV) takes one of our favorite Citra/Galaxy DIPAs, dHop5, supersizes the hop charge and adds a touch of lactose.

Aside from all the great things about this beer, it includes an experiment to boost the citrus character of its aroma. We will continue to apply this to the next several releases for evaluation but we’re very pleased with the effect.

Hop Wave 5 pours a milky straw yellow releasing pungent aromas of citrus, pineapple, passion fruit, and peach all integrated with a sorbet twist. The taste is a soft and bright creamy tropical flavor that is dangerously drinkable and balanced.

Even More Waves

This Saturday 9/8 from 11:30AM-6PM at the brewery, we will be selling cans of our second collaboration with @eviltwinbrewing, Even More Waves (10% ABV TIPA) at $22 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.

Even More Unbalanced *was* the hoppiest beer ever brewed at Equilibrium. We were discussing with Jeppe how we could push this beer even further and Even More Waves was born. Even More Waves increases the Even More Unbalanced blend of Citra, Galaxy, Denali, Mosaic, and Amarillo and adds a touch of lactose. It pours a hazy glowing tangerine color releasing a penetrating hop blast of bright tropical mango, pineapple, apricot, and berry. The taste is blended tropical fruit that showcases the EQ juice, which gives an escalating bright finish that builds into smooth hop frosting but stays balanced by a proper bitterness. Please join Jeppe and us this weekend at EQ for an Even More Briskety kick-off of the school year.
