DIPA Stamp & You Can’t TIPA Stamp a DIPA Stamp

on October 31, 2019 No comments
This Saturday 11/2, starting at 3PM at the brewery, we are selling cans of DIPA Stamp (8.0% ABV) at $20 per 4-pack and You Can’t TIPA Stamp a DIPA Stamp (10.0% ABV) at $22 per 4-pack. Limit 1 case per person on each beer, limit subject to change.
Inspired by the scooter from the movie Dumb and Dumber, which Todd owns, we decided to spin this into a set of beers for our Halloween release.
Who is capable to deliver a briefcase? It seemed appropriate to pull EQ’s two PhDs, often refered to around the brewery as Dumb and Dumber to deliver it back to its rightful owner. But on their trip, they were chased down by the guy who checks your tickets at our release, Todd “Sea Bass” Lyons.
DIPA Stamp uses a base of oats and wheat and our current favorite blend of hops in the whirlpool before we dry hopped it with citra and bru-1, a first use hop for us. Notes and flavors of citrus, stone fruit, melon, and dank pineapples. It’s like a fruit parfait with a very creamy mouthfeel and a crushable #EQjuice finish.
You Can’t TIPA Stamp a DIPA Stamp is scaled up to a triple. We used a bigger dose of oats and scaled up the same whirlpool hop combo and dry hopped it with citra, bru-1, and mosaic before and adding a touch of lactose. This bigger and bolder version tastes like a dank mango and papaya version of Sunny D. It’s soft and has a great juicy finish making it too drinkable. At 10%, you’d think we are playing Halloween tricks on you.
Some reminders: The taproom opens at 10AM on Saturday for tickets. We hope to see y’all in costume, the top 3 win prizes. Todd will be bringing this piece of Hollywood to the release for you to check out in person. We’ll also have BBQ and Burgers for you to nibble on.

VitaminM(Sea)³

on October 30, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 11/2, starting at 3PM at the brewery, we will sell cans of VitaminM(Sea)³, our collaboration with Vitamin Sea Brewing (10.0% ABV TIPA). $22 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limit subject to change.

Ocean Physics spans from small millimeter-scale turbulence to big-scale global circulation (like the label) and even applies to fish tanks in your living room. For this beer, we payed attention to smallest detail while thinking of a big TIPA that you can enjoy in your living room and possibly in your fish tank if you have too many. Thanks Ocean Physics. When Dino and Mike visited Middletown a few weeks ago to follow up on the collab we did with Vitamin Sea at their place, VitaminM(Sea)², we set out to make a triple as smooth as the most gentle ocean waves.

VitaminM(Sea)³ starts with a base of oats and wheat to help the beer remain soft and creamy before being aggressively hopped with citra, mosaic, wakatu, and galaxy. It pours a hazy bright straw yellow and has intense notes and flavors of assorted citrus, lemon & lime, and a dank and earthy lemongrass. It has big #EQjuice with an extremely soft smooth finish. It’s dangerously drinkable for a triple and will slip you into meditative state as you are reminded of the sounds of the sea as the ocean boost your brain power… or helps you drink in a fish tank.

C

on October 17, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 10/19, starting at 11:30 AM, at the brewery, we will be selling cans of C (4.8% Pale Ale) $15 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limit subject to change.

E=MC², and C is the universal symbol for the speed of light. We based this beer off of our beloved Photon pale ale but amped up the hop ratios and gave this beer our Energy treatment. This method improves aroma, enhances flavor and body by pulling the most out of from each hop.

C pours a bright straw yellow and has a beautiful nose that wafts up as soon as the can is cracked open. Balanced and luscious, it has deep flavors of stone fruit, pineapple, and mango thanks to the increased hopping rates. You’ll notice a super soft crushable mouthfeel and a finish that builds up and exits at the speed of light.

Big Gnome Energy

on October 16, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 10/19, starting at 11:30 AM, at the brewery, we will sell cans of Big Gnome Energy, our collaboration with Dancing Gnome Beer (8.0% ABV DIPA). $20 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limit subject to change.

BGE is everywhere these days. That low-key cool that can’t be simulated, replicated, or duplicated. You keep that confidence Biggie while gnoming that ego Smalls. Do you have BGE in you? Andrew came to visit and we BGE’d a base of oats and white wheat with a giant dose of citra in the whirlpool. We then dry hopped it with citra, enigma, and strata (our first hop from our 2019 crop). This years strata is dank! Big Gnome Energy pours a vibrant hazy yellow and is dank, juicy, and soft with notes of gooseberry, tropical fruits and cannabis. It finishes with a welcomed bitterness for balance and luscious EQ juice finish.

Eastern States Ale

on October 10, 2019 No comments
This Saturday 10/12, starting at 11:30AM, at the brewery, we will be selling our collaboration made for Orange County Fair Speedway, Eastern States Ale (4.5% ABV Pale Ale). $14 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limit subject to change.
A historic local attraction close to Equilibrium, Orange County Fair Speedway is a five-eighths mile dirt oval speedway here in Middletown, NY. Originally built in 1857 as a track for horse racing, it was converted to an auto racing track in 1919 and has been operating as such since. Since 1948, It operates on a weekly basis from April to September. This year, Orange County Fair Speedway will celebrate its 100th year of Auto Racing. Its Centennial season concludes with the 58th running of our Eastern States 200 stock car races on October 25th, 26th & 27th. We couldn’t think of a better way to help celebrate than making a beer for a local attraction, from our local brewery.
Eastern States Ale is a traditional pale ale made specifically for easy drinking. With white wheat as part of the base, we added Columbus and Simcoe in the whirlpool and then dry hopped it with Citra and additional Simcoe. It has a light and smooth body, a touch of citrus flavor along with dank pine notes and a crisp refreshing finish. Perfect for weekends at the racetrack.
On Friday October 25th, at 4pm, Orange County Fair Speedway will be holding a kick off party for Eastern States Weekend and we’ll be there to help celebrate by pouring Eastern States Ale at the event.
Hope to see you there!

Einstein’s Favorite

on October 2, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 10/05, starting at 11:30AM at the brewery, we will be selling cans of Einstein’s Favorite (10.5% ABV TIPA). $24 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limit subject to change.

When we hosted Energy Evolution Day a few weeks back, we had a fun idea to treat a keg and mimic what was said to be Albert Einstein’s favorite dessert, Sticky Orange Cake. It was an attendee and staff favorite so we decided to make a bigger batch to be able to bring it to you in canned form. We took our lactose forward Energy Evolution as a base, tweaked it with some of our favorite hops and added a massive dose of Florida navel orange zest and Madagascar Vanilla beans. This dessert themed beer has bright notes and flavors of tropical orange and assorted citrus, sweet frosted vanilla, and a smooth creamy EQ juice finish. It dangerously smooth and comes together as a gooey orange sweet cake Grandma would have made for you growing up.

More to come..
