per 4pk!
dHop20 is the newest iteration in our experimental series. We started out with a white wheat and oat base and a blend of Mosaic, Motueka, and Amarillo hops.
dHop20 pours a hazy yellow and has an aroma and notes of candied orange, lime, and peaches with a juicy backbone. The body is soft and pillowy with a build up to our beautiful #EQjuice finish.

Shared Space

on April 29, 2020 No comments

Starting today at our 12pm opening, we are proud to release bottles of Shared Space (6.0% Wild Ale) for sale. $13 per 750ml bottle/ $8 per 375ml.
With Equilibrium Brewery focusing on the liquid, and Equilibrium Bonfire focusing on the food, our Shared Space will be a junction of good beer, good eats and most importantly, good people. A sense of community and belonging is something we pride ourselves on here and we are happy to introduce our second iteration of the series to commemorate that.
Shared Space is a blended wild ale with beautiful complexity. We started off brewing two separate bases that could be thought of as cousins of Austin and TABA and then added additional strains of Brettanomyces. It pours a beautiful golden yellow and has an intoxicating aroma. Conditioning since November, Shared Space has notes of anjou pear, honeysuckle and bright citrus zest with a soft body, mild tartness and balanced acidity. This beer is tasty right out of the gate, but will continue to evolve in proper cellar conditions.

Barrel Aged Austin Gin

on April 29, 2020 No comments

This Saturday 03/14, starting at 11:30am at 2 South Street, we are pleased to brining you the second beer of this series, Barrel Aged Austin Gin (6.5 % ABV Farmhouse Ale). $20per 750ml // Limit 1pp and $11 per 375ml // Limit 2pp. Limits subject to change.
Austin starts off as a delicate, and complex farmhouse ale with a bit of pleasant funk and gentle acidity. We took one of our most balanced farmhouse ales yet, and let it rest in Gin barrels that previously held Unlikely Foragers for a little over 10 months. It’s since rested over a year combined in both barrels and bottles. The metamorphosis is beautiful producing a delicate and layered flavor of mild spring citrus, light spice, juniper and assorted botanicals with a mild oak presence. This ale is gentle, soft, and dry with a beautiful creamy aspect to its body and a tongue clique tart finish and is a continuation of where our barrel aged program is headed. This is a beautiful beer for pairing with food or enjoying on its own. BAAG will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.

Even More Unbalanced

on March 11, 2020 No comments

This Saturday 03/14, starting at 11:30am at 2 South Street, we’ll be bringing you back the TIPA that started it all, Even More Unbalanced, a collab with Evil Twin Brewing NYC (10.0% ABV). $22 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.
At the time, this was the hoppiest beer ever brewed at Equilibrium. It opened the door to our Triple game, something we have been fine tuning and trying to perfect since then. It all started when we discussed with Jeppe how we consider Fluctuation to be perfectly unbalanced and he pushed us to scale our recipe up and we are thankful he did.
With Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, Motueka, Sabro, and Amarillo in excess, EMU pours an intensely hazy glowing tangerine color releasing a penetrating hop blast of bright tropical mango sorbet, pineapple, mango, and apricot with a lime peel garnish. The taste is blended tropical fruit with our bright #EQjuice. It’s fluffy but with a proper bitterness for balance. Please drink this fruit blast responsibly, it’s a touch dangerous and can sneak up on you quickly.
More to Come..

Come at Me, Bro!

on March 6, 2020 No comments

This Saturday 03/07, starting at 11:30am at 2 South Street, we’ll be bringing you our newest TIPA, Come at me, Bro; a collab with Haas Hops (10.0% ABV). $22 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.
Us and kangaroos… This nonsensical idea came about joking around with our dear friend Amaey and imagining the toughest kangaroo on the planet’s inner monologue (?if kangaroos have inner monologues; we’re sure this one does) while discussing our up coming trip to Australia. This naturally blossomed into a collab with Haas and Come at me, Bro went from inner monologues to a TIPA made exclusively with Haas hops.
We started with a base of pale malt, flaked oats and white wheat before a whirlpool of citra and idaho7 and a big old galaxy and citra dryhop. Come at me, Bro pours an opaque hazy yellow and has big notes of papaya, peach, mango, and cantaloupe with a touch of grass in a super fluffy pillows-resting-on-pillows form. This beer is smooth and creamy with a giant fruit cocktail #EQjuice finish.

The Middletown Project is our on going effort to create our perfect hop bomb. We blended 4 of our favorite hops into this new process. We taste dank berries, bright orangey citrus, cream, and melon. The flavor follows the nose with a clean dose of our signature EQ juice. We’d like to thank Middletown for giving our project a home and all Veterans for giving us the freedoms we enjoy today. Shout out to Grampa.

Barrel Aged Equilibrium=Mostra Coffee Cuvée

on March 5, 2020 No comments

This Wednesday, 03/04/20, starting at 5 PM at 2 South Street, we are pleased to bring you Barrel Aged Equilibrium=Mostra Coffee Cuvée (12 % ABV Imperial Stout). $22per 500ml // Limit 1pp

There is something equivocal about making great beer and great coffee. It comes from the quality of ingredients, technique, and passion; something we feel we share with Mostra Coffee. We wanted to build an all encompassing project based off of one blend that Mostra Coffee has created for us. This blend of Philippine Sitio Belis, Colombia Passiflora, and Brazil Oberon called Equilibrium=Mostra Coffee Cuvée is a blend we will use for multiple phases for our event on 03/04/20. To commemorate the experience we wanted to create a beer that showcases both the notes of this well executed blend and our decadent bourbon barrel aged beer. We took one of our stouts that has rested in a Willet barrel for close to one year and conditioned on this very special proprietary blend. Equilibrium=Mostra Coffee Cuvée pours pitch black with a nice tan head. Aromas of chocolate, carmel, and fresh brewed coffee waft off the pour. The flavor follows with a decadent blast of fudge brownie, mild nuttiness, smooth cold brew coffee, and a touch of sweetness cut by a creamy bourbon barrel finish. A true experience in a bottle. To reap the full rewards of this coffee treatment, we recommend drinking fresh.

Harvester of Simcoe

on March 5, 2020 No comments

This Saturday 02/29, starting at 11:30am at 2 South Street, we are bringing back Harvester of Simcoe (8.8% ABV DIPA). $20 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.
This time we used an all cryo simcoe dryhop intensifying the flavor and aroma. Harvester of Simcoe has deep notes of passion fruit, bright pine, berry and earth, followed by some bready notes. The taste is bright luscious tropical fruits with a light pine backbone supported by a firm but rounded bitterness and an even bigger #EQjuice finish.
