Upcoming Events

on March 1, 2017 No comments

We have two events this weekend: The Burger Loft on Friday, March 3rd and The Well on Saturday, March 4th. We will be at both events with lots of our beer as well as debuting Fluctuation – our citra forward DIPA and hoppiest beer to date. We do not anticipate Fluctuation being available except at the brewery and aside from special events (tap room opening details to follow soon). The beer list follows:

1) Photon – American Pale Ale – 4.8%
2) MC^2 – DIPA – 8.0%
3) Fractal Citra – IPA – 6.8%
4) Vulgar Display of Flower – DIPA – 8.0%
5) Casey – Farmhouse Ale – 6.0%
6) There and Back Again Apricots and Peaches – 6.0%
7) Fluctuation – DIPA – 8.2%

Please stop by and share a pint!

Fractal Citra

on February 28, 2017 No comments

Fractal Citra is the second release from our small-batch Research Series. A fractal is something simple at the core yet can produce wonderful and amazingly complex results. The fractal series only uses pale malt and a straight forward hop bill (simple). We will use these beers to investigate how different hops and hop combinations manifest through our processes, allowing us to optimize both our use of hops and our hopping techniques.

Fractal Citra pours a hazy-straw yellow releasing aromas of bright tropical passion fruit, pineapple, lychee, and hint of mango (complex). The taste is resinous pineapple juice with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a firm but rounded bitterness. The menagerie of characteristics makes the name “Fractal Citra” warranted indeed.

Another busy week here at the brewery. Mashing in the second half of a Fractal Simcoe batch. We kegged Fractal Citra yesterday. Earlier in the week we may have brewed another batch one of our favorite DIPAs as well!

Vulgar Display of Flower

on February 21, 2017 No comments

Vulgar Display of Flower is a tribute to an aggressive yet balanced assault on the senses. It blends East-meets-West coast DIPA with our own Equilibrium twist. It is dry, bitter, piny, resinous, yet remains smooth, juicy, and drinkable. This concoction displays the hop flower’s assertive yet delicious nature and hits draught accounts this week. Enjoy.

Casey

on February 15, 2017 No comments

We want to thank everyone who participated in our release of There And Back Again aged on Apricots and Peaches. We are pleased to announce our second bottle release: Casey, our bright and complex farmhouse ale, this Saturday 02/18/2017 from 12– 4 PM. The release is at the Brewery for $10 per each 750 ml bottle with a limit of 6 bottles per person (subject to change as needed).

The Beer
Casey is a farmhouse ale built by the inspiration to share beer with people close to heart. She is pale, tart, delicate, complex with a bit of pleasant funk, and dry hopped with a touch of Nelson Sauvin. This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.

.
The Release
The release is scheduled from 12 – 4 on Saturday 02/18/2017 onsite at the brewery, which is located at 22 Henry St in Middletown, NY. Hopefully it will be just like the last release. To comply with fire regulations, the restaurant and taproom will be off limits to patrons and tours; however, we are cleared to have people inside the actual brewery main floor itself, which is where the bottle release will take place. We should have a limited amount of Casey bottles to open for samples and we will be pouring two of our fresh DIPAs for onsite tastings: 1) MC^2; and 2) Vulgar Display of Flower (not available to take off site… yet). Members of our EQcrew will be onsite to assist with parking, entry, exit, sales, samples, and casual discussion. This is likely the last bottle release before we open the taproom.
