Electromagnetic Waves

on November 25, 2020 No comments

Today at Noon, we will sell Electromagnetic Waves (10.0% TIPA) at $22 per 4-pk. No Limit. We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Electromagnetic Waves propagate through a range of frequencies of electromagnetic energy and their respective wavelengths that consists of radio waves, cell phone signals, microwaves, visible light, UV, and X-rays. As this radiation is all based on energy, we took our TIPA Joule and amplified it for the latest in our Electric series.

We start Electromagnetic Waves with a big base of wheat and oats and gave this beer a 100% Victorian Galaxy whirlpool and dry hop, we then finished it with a touch of lactose for an extra creamy body. Pouring a glowing yellow, Electromagnetic Waves has big notes of drippy mango and passionfruit, peach flesh, and sweet tangerine marmalade and a touch of candied lime packed into a creamsicle like flavor. Its escalating juice flavors build up quickly into a frosted tropical medley with a big #EQjuicepop. This beer is a rollercoaster ride on the flavor spectrum with a nearly undetectable alcohol content and comes just in time for the extended holiday weekend.

Please Note: Retail is closed Thursday and Friday. They will be back open on Saturday.

More to Come!

Here and Now Blackberry/Raspberry/Boysenberry

on November 23, 2020 No comments
Today at Noon, we will sell, Here and Now Blackberry/Raspberry/Boysenberry (6.0 % American Wild Ale) $20 per 750 ml and $12 per 375ml. No Limit. We will have this available with options for curbside pickup at the brewery or delivery throughout New York, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
We are pleased to bring back Here and Now Blackberry/Raspberry/Boysenberry, which was our second collaborative series with Dr. Jason Rodriguez. The philosophy behind this beer is to create a wonderful drinking experience in this very moment, right here and right now. When you become present and let go of resisting what is, and not give place to thoughts about what happened or what might happen, you may find yourself content and really enjoying your beverage and the people and place around it.
We took our house wild “Honey Badger” culture (no saccharomyces) and allowed it to ferment and sour over several months before refermenting it with additional select Brettanomyces from our farmhouse cultures along with blackberry, raspberry and boysenberry at more than double the rate of fruit we use for There and Back Again. The result is a berry blast smoothie with a jammy fruit taste and a drinkable pleasant dryness boosted by our microorganisms. The beer is unfiltered, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.

A data point or observation is a set of one or more measurements on a single member of unit of observation. All our beers across all our styles are based on data points. We felt it was the perfect name to test our newly hand selected Mosaic Hops. Starting off with a big base of oats and wheat, we aggressively hopped this beer with our 2020 hand selected mosaic lot in both the whirlpool and the dry hop. Data Points pours a hazy electric yellow with a sweet aroma of citrus and berry with flavors of navel orange, mango, herbal blueberry, earthy lime peel, and the Devil’s Lettuce. The #EQjuice builds up into a creamy and complex finish with a pop of juiciness lending data that shows we truly do love our new Mosaic.

We are pleased to bring you the next and final installment of #LADSvember 2020, Life Before Death Star. This beer is the sum of multi-sourced adjuncts and showcases the true art of collaboration. LBDS starts off with the same long boil LADS base before being conditioned on Cacao Nibs from Exquisito Chocolates in Miami Florida graciously selected and shared with us by the JWB Team, our new house Kinetic Energy Blend Coffee that we worked on with our friends at Mostra Coffee (more below), Maple Syrup, Marshmallow, and a touch of lactose. Life Before Death Star pours jet black and develops a mocha head with an aroma of maple infused brownie batter and Rolo candies. Flavors of gooey chocolate and maple covered pancakes lead into the thick and viscous mouthfeel of chocolate fudge, vanilla marshmallow and a sweet but balanced addition of maple that is supported by a deep coffee backbone and a touch of cinnamon spice from the complex relationship of Kinetic Energy Blend and Exquisito Cacao nibs. This rollercoaster ride of harmonious flavors finishes thick, smooth, luxurious, and creamy. We are extremely happy with closing out LADSvember with this latest variant.

TABA Noble Hops

on November 16, 2020 No comments

Today, we are proud to release bottles of TABA Noble Hops (6.0% Farmhouse IPA) for sale. $13 per 750ml bottle/ $8 per 375ml.
TABA is a rotating Farmhouse IPA that explores hop interaction with our There and Back Again cultures. There and Back Again is a citra/galaxy dry hopped 100% Brettanomyces fermented ale that has been one of our favorite draft beers since we opened do to its bright tropical expression and it serves as the base for many of our fruited versions. We’re happy to bring you the dry hopped Farmhouse IPA version for the first time. This Farmhouse IPA is a collaborative effort with our dear friend Dr. Jason Rodriguez. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create a reproducible process that produces a beautiful and elegant farmhouse ale that is dry, slightly tart, full of flavor, and super drinkable. The interplay of our slow souring process, its respective microorganisms, hops, bitterness, gravity manipulation, and minerality have been through countless iterations over the years. We took our There and Back Again cultures and allowed it ferment over several months before dry hopping it with a of blend of classic noble hops. We then bottle conditioned it for several months prior to today’s release. It pours a vibrant golden yellow releasing bright notes of lemon zest, pleasant funk, pineapple, pink grapefruit, bright hay, clean forest, and earth. It tastes juicy with a balanced acidity with similar notes as the smell with a nice dry finish. This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.
