Tie-Dye lab coats are what we wear in the lab where dreams are made, for it was dreams that made this lab. Today, we kick off our perpetual Dream Lab Project with Other Half. This series builds on previous releases and will continue to showcase the connection between Citra and Galaxy forward beers and the spirals, bonds, and fractals that intertwine them. Beers in this series will carry the Broccoli Flask Lab Logo as a testament that they were conceptualized and made in an elevated and dreamy state of mind.
Dreamwave Inception takes Dreamwave Fluctuation’s hop bill of Citra and Galaxy and adds Motueka and Enigma along with a ton of flaked oats and a touch of lactose. Dreamwave Inception pours a hazy bright tangerine yellow and explodes with notes of citrus and stone fruit. Its flavors are orange tang, papaya, peach sorbet, and bright berry with a touch of lime and white grape juice. Juicy notes morph into a creamy finish and a pleasant balanced bitterness. Loaded with #EQjuice, this beer is the product of a fun day in the lab with our tie-dyed lab coats. More on the lab coat later 🙂

We will also sell these super limited true scientific beakers on site. They are 500ml/16.9 oz each and feature the series icon on one side and measurements on the opposite. $15 each, curbside only. Please hand wash.

We took Dream Wave Fluctuation and blurred the lines to explore what it would be like with a life as a TIPA. This aggressively hopped Galaxy and Citra forward triple uses oats and lactose to match Other Half’s Dream treatment and creates a scaled up and dangerously drinkable version of its predecessor.
Dream Wave Distortion pours a hazy tangerine color. It has big aromas of passion fruit, melon, peach, cream, and pineapple with a matching flavor profile. Utilizing some of our latest techniques, this triple is lethally smooth with a bright, luscious, and creamy sorbet #EQjuice finish.

“You know what would be fun? C Lime Pie!” That was the text we got from our Henry Street Head Brewer, OG Kyle, recently and we went with it.
C Lime Pie is our pale ale, C, dry hopped with 2020 Motueka and then pastrified into the classic dessert, Key Lime Pie. Starting off with our pale ale we added Cake Mix, Lime, Vanilla, and Lactose. C Lime Pie pours a vibrant yellow with notes of lime and fluffy cake. The flavors is a mix of fruity hops, vanilla, yellow cake, and a refreshing lime finish all wrapped up in a very creamy but light body that you won’t feel guilty about. This beer is fun and crushable at 4.8 %. C if you can have just have one, bet you cant!

When Phil, Kyle, Chris, and John made their way to this side of the Hudson River, we spoke about all the good that is happening in the Hudson Valley for Beer. With more and more breweries producing great liquid, the Hudson Valley Region has become a beer Mecca. Linear phase represents the pinpoints between Middletown and Wappingers, both of our respective homes and all of the other spots helping to put the region on the map.
Starting off with a base of flaked wheat and flaked oats we used a whirlpool of Citra and Strata before dry-hopping this beer with Citra, Strata, and Galaxy. Linear Phase pours a beautiful creamy bright yellow with an aroma of tropical citrus and grass fields. Flavors of pungent orange, passionfruit, melon, and berry come together in a soft and creamy mouthfeel with our #EQjuice finish with just a touch of bitterness to round things out.

Straight Outta Middletown South Street Edition is similar to its kin, SOM, but uses some updated hardware in our new home here on South Street to elevate the notes and flavor profile. Adding it our Project Elevate Series, the label features a drone’s eye view of the beautiful city of Middletown and our Brewery right before sunrise in late July of this year.
This beer stays true to its Henry Street roots and investigates the interplay between our ale strain and a big Mosaic and Citra forward hop bill woven multiple times during our updated processes.
SOM (SSE) pours a bright tangerine color, releasing notes of grovestand orange, pineapple, and earthy grass. The taste is highly resinous, dank and luscious citrus, passionfruit, lime, and a touch of fun dip stick crossed with smarties that leads to a chewy mouth feel and a firm and pointed bitterness along with our signiture #EQjuice profile. We are happy to welcome SOM to South Street!

The next treat from our music-playing-magical truck series is here. Strawberry Stoutcake starts off with the same viscous base we used for Almond Pop before adding Strawberries, Marshmallows, Cake Mix, and a touch of Lactose.
Strawberry Stoutcake pours pitch black with a slightly ruby tinted tan head releasing notes of that pink speckled pop we enjoyed as children (and adults ;P). Notes of chocolate cake crossed with Strawberry Quick in a velvety and chewy mouthfeel wrapped up with a creamy decadent finish! This is Mom’s brownie recipe blended with Strawberry Fluff to bring you nostalgia in a bottle.

Super Fractal Laboratory Set is the latest beer in the series. Just like fractals moving and spinning about, a lot goes into making a beer. SFLS pays homage to our laboratory and all of its moving parts, equipment, ingredients, and processes needed to make beer for a single release.
We essentially combined our simple Super Fractal grain bill and fermentation and applied the massive Citra hopping schedule of SOTL. SFLS pours a bright and hazy yellow. Aromas of citrus, pineapple, and grass with flavors of navel orange, ripe pineapple, berry and a touch of melon wrapped up in our #EQjuice profile. This beer has a creamy and soft mouthfeel with an extremely drinkable finish.

Colors affect memories, cause emotions, and generate experiences. The world’s favorite color is blue. Blue is a very prominent color on earth from nitrogen scattering blue photons in the sky, yet true blue is a surprisingly hard color to come by in nature. Most blue animals scatter and cancel light but are not truly blue. Only the obrina olivewing butterfly produces a true-blue pigment. Most plants absorb blue light because of its relatively higher energy content and kick back green photons, which is why plants look green to us. Most blue dyes are made from petroleum products. One of the rare blue pigments found in nature comes from a special form of Spirulina Algae. Its natural, fully sustainable, has minimal smell and taste, and even provides anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.
In a year with limited travel and reinvention of all things across our spectrum of life, we wanted to do something fun and new with our fam from Vitamin Sea Brewing to incorporate all aspects mentioned above. We took one of our favorited DIPA grain bills and blended in a special form of blue Spirulina and aged this beer on raw coconut flakes and lime juice before dry hopping it with Victorian Galaxy, Sabro, BRU-1, and citrus zest. This unique elixir pours a stunning cobalt blue with amazing head retention and teleports you to your favorite bar that you discovered on your favorite vacation. Lime and assorted citrus lead the way supported a tropical hop accents that all get balanced by raw coconut to complete the tiki profile. The taste is as tropical as the smell with a juicy finish from the citrus reminiscent of a skinny cocktail. We’d say close your eyes and let this elixir reimagine travel, but you don’t want to miss this color…

Jeppe has been a great friend, and Even More encouraging when it comes to us to doing crazy things. Whether it’s Equilibrium’s first TIPA, Marshmallow as a hoppy adjunct, making a Dragonfruit Blueberry farmhouse ales (More on that soon) or now, taking Even More Unbalanced and adding marshmallows to make it…..Even Less Balanced.
We took one of our most hoppy TIPA recipes and switched up the hops a bit. We used Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, Sabro, Amarillo, and Belma before adding a balanced dose of Marshmallow. Even Less Balanced pours hazy tangerine color with a sweet vanilla and frosted mango nose. The flavor is a tropical fruit blast with a creamy but balanced flavor of vanilla orange cake and marshmallow fluff. A light bitterness rounds out any sweetness and the non-detectable ABV will have you Even Less Balanced in no time.

dHop 25 explores the combination of El Dorado, Amarillo, and Belma. Pouring bright yellow, dHop 25 releases notes of navel orange, apple jolly rancher, and pineapple. Flavors of fresh citrus, pineapple, mango and candied berry infused into a soft and bright finish. This beer is an example of why the dHop series exists, to explore.
