Happy Holidays! We are happy to announce the return of a favorite for all of your planned festivities.
This Saturday, 12/22 from 11:30am-6pm at the brewery, we will be selling dHop 5. $20 per 4-pack, limit set at one case per person, limits subject to change. dHop 5 is a 8.5% DIPA that supersizes one of our favorite Equilibrium IPAs: Fractal Citra/Galaxy. We scaled Fractal’s grain bill, water treatment, fermentation, and super sized the hop bill of citra and galaxy. dHop5 pours a milky straw yellow (milk>haze) releasing aromas of passion fruit, peach, lime, and pineapple all integrated with a sorbet twist. The taste is a bright creamy tropical flavor that is dangerously drinkable and balanced. We are also excited to say that this is the first batch of dHop 5 that exhibits our EQ Juice finish!
This Saturday 12/22 from 11:30AM – 6PM at the brewery, we are thrilled to offer Equilibrium’s first bottled stouts for the holiday! – Special Relativity 2 (9.81%) our Imperial wheat Stout in 500 ml bottles at $12 a bottle limit 6 bottles a person.
Special Relativity is a special case of General Relativity, which focuses more on time (and space) as opposed to gravity. To pay homage to this theory, which gave rise to E = MC2, we brewed a stout that’s a special case of our stout General Relativity. For Special Relativity 2, we brewed this beer with a healthy dose of wheat and allowed it to naturally carb and condition for many months. This stout pours viscous black releasing aromas of creamy milk chocolate, roasted coffee, toasted marshmallow, vanilla, and a touch of dark fruit out of tan-mousse head. Its flavor follows the aroma with a full creamy body that dances on the palate from tight natural carbonation. Please enjoy at 55°-60°F. This beer will cellar well at proper cellaring temperatures.
This Saturday 12/15 from 11:30AM – 6PM at the brewery, we will debut cans of our Safety Team Collaboration: The Beast Arise Like Yeast (10% TIPA) at $22 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.
Like Raekwon the Chef, our homie Brandon Tolbert from Safety Team Brewing came back up to cook up some experimental hops with us. This was a celebrated reunion as we brewed our first collab ever with Brandon back when he brewed for The Answer and we dropped: Can it All Be So Simple a little over a year ago.
We shared unique brewing philosophies and made them synergistic to construct this TIPA using honey malt and a blend of 5 different hops. It pours a hazy tangerine orange and releases rich notes of a creamy fruit salad. The taste follows the nose with a bright creamy tropical flavor followed by a balanced honey presence and bitterness making this big bear easy to drink.
This Saturday, 12/15 from 11:30am-6 pm at the brewery, we are pleased to introduce cans of Fractal Motueka/Citra (6.8% ABV). $16 per four pack, limit one case per person.
This is the first time we ran a single IPA through our SOTL process and the result is a super crushable single IPA that exhibits our signature EQ Juice. Fractal Motueka/Citra pours a resinous-hazy-yellow releasing complex aromas of lemon-lime, pineapple, and tropical fruit. The taste is resinous dank sprite with EQ juice keeping it refreshing all the way through to the finish. This one is a real crusher so please enjoy responsibly.
This Saturday 12/8 from 11:30am-6pm at the brewery, we will be selling cans of dHop2. $20 per four pack, limit one case per person (limits subject to change)
dHop 2 point oooohhh (see what we did there?)- is a 8.5% DIPA that investigates the interplay of an intensive Mosaic and Citra forward hop bill and our SOTL hop process. It pours a very murky tangerine color, releasing notes of orange juice, melon, and earthy grass. The taste is highly resinous, dank-citrus, honey-dew melon, and blueberry with our signature EQ juice keeping the sip bright and refreshing all the way through to the finish.
Collaboration Saturday Continues! In addition to all the amazing stuff happening with Other Half, this Saturday 12/1 from 11:30AM – 6PM at the brewery, we will debut cans of our Seven Island BreweryCollaboration: Adrestia (8.2% DIPA) at $20 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change.
Seven Island came to brew with us all the way from Corfu Greece! Last year Ratebeer awarded us top 10 best new breweries in the world. We were not rated number 1. However, during Hop City in Leeds, UK, we were approached and congratulated by number 1 new brewery in the world: Seven Island Brewery. We struck up a great relationship with them and decided we wanted to work together to synergistically blend our two hop forward styles. It was only natural to name the beer Adrestia, after the Greek Goddess of Balance.
We used a grain bill loaded with wheat and oats and hopped this beer heavily with citra, belma, and galaxy. It pours a very hazy bright yellow and has an aroma of peaches, tropical fruit, and a touch of strawberry. The flavor follows the aroma with our signature EQ Juice profile.
Also available this Saturday, We have one of our best batches of of MC^2 yet! $18 per 4-pk, 1 case per person.
This Saturday 12/1 from 11:30AM – 6PM at the brewery, we will debut cans of our other Other Half Collaboration: Dream Lab (10.2% TIPA) at $22 per four pack. Limit 1 case per person, limits subject to change. This release will be a normal Saturday release.
Think if Dream Wave Fluctuation and Straight Outta the Laboratory had a baby with no lactose. When Sam and Anthony from Other Half Brewing Company came up to brew, we were all discussing how much we liked our first EQ/OH collab Dream Wave Fluctuation, and on the EQ side, how much we like our recent beer Straight Outta the Laboratory (SOTL). We ended up taking EQ’s SOTL grain bill, modified an aggressive Other Half hopbill of Galaxy and Citra, and ran it through the SOTL process to bring out the EQ juice. This is how dreams are made.
Dream Lab pours a glowing opaque tangerine color releasing aromas of passion fruit, lime, peach, and pineapple all integrated with a bright citrus backdrop. The taste is a bright creamy tropical of flavor with an escalating brightness buoyed by a soft velvety mouth feel. This beer is extremely well balanced and drinkable. In fact, I finished the whole can while writing this and caught half a buzz… please drink responsibly. – PEte
As a surprise, we are releasing Unlikely Foragers Single Thread today at $12 per bottle, limit 1 pp. We blended the majority of Unlikely Foragers with base Austin to add depth and complexity. As an experiment, we bottled 200 of the unblended base and allowed it to condition for several months. Unlikely Foragers Single Thread will be released today to celebrate the holiday, throw back to spring time, and the start of our taproom journey. This version is more dandelion forward with a very soft and gentle acidity. It’s beautifully soft and balanced.
Thanksgiving is a time to gather, be thankful, and share things with people close to heart. In the spirit of family and collaboration on Wednesday 11/21 from 12:00PM – 5:00 PM we are beyond excited to debut cans of our Other Half Brewing Company Collaboration: Lucid Dream Wave. $20 per 4-pack, limit 1 case per person. Limit subject to change.
We are closed Thurs – Sunday for holidays and we will not be setting any of this beer aside for later release.
During a lucid dream, the dreamer is awake, conscious of the space and environment around them. It’s almost a doorway into an alternative universe, one that we control. Creating this controllable fantasy began with Dream Wave Fluctuation, increasing the dry hop, blending Citra, Amarillo, Galaxy, and El Dorado, and applying Other Half’s Dream treatment. Lucid Dream Wave pours a hazy glowing tangerine color releasing aromas of passion fruit, pineapple, and candied peaches and cream all integrated with a juicy twist. The taste is loaded with EQ juice that blends with a bright creamy tropical wave of flavor with a touch of sweet that is dangerously drinkable and balanced. We will also have a limited amount of Rastal Lawrence collaboration glasses along with a small run of tee’s available. Glass and shirts each limited to 1pp. More news on our fundraiser happening the morning of the release coming soon!
