That lab juice is loose, this time in a DIPA. The next step in developing a mathematical model to optimize a desired flavor profile is understanding the relevant mass fluxes. Lessons learned from control volume helped create Straight Outta the Laboratory, which in turn helped us identify the relevant mass fluxes to create that EQ Juice.
Mass Fluxes pours a hazy bright tangerine and has aromas of freshly squeezed tropical fruit, lime, grapefruit, and freshly cut grass. The flavor is bright tropical orange juice with mango, with a resinous and chewy mouthfeel. The finish has an escalating brightness balanced by a soft bitterness.

We revisited the Wave treatment with one of our favorite beers by paying tribute to DDH MC² by using the MC² grain bill, increasing the hops, and adding a touch of lactose. Energy Wave pours a glowing hazy tangerine color, releasing bright tropical notes of mango, pineapple, lactose, and apricot. Energy Wave tastes like a succulent wave of creamy mango juice with a touch of sweet that is dangerously drinkable and balanced.

Today we welcome Super Fractal Kaleidoscope Set. This beer uses our fractal base malt bill and fermentation profile with a whirlpool of hand selected Citra and Vic Secret with a dry-hop of Strata, Enigma, and Mosaic. We specifically went for a juicy whirlpool and a dank dry hop to get your internal flavor kaleidoscope spinning. Pouring hazy yellow aromas of stone fruit, citrus, and cannabis, we get flavors of melon gummy bears mirrored by devil’s lettuce leading into a creamy and dank finish with an explosive #EQjuice finish that will have you seeing beautiful forms.

Super Fractal Phoenix Set uses a simple grain bill of 2row and our specific fractal fermentation profile. For Phoenix Set we used our hand selected Citra and Idaho 7 in the whirlpool and a dry hop of hand selected Citra and Galaxy along with Sabro and Strata at an even higher hopping rate than Batch 1. Super Fractal Phoenix Set pours an opaque yellow tangerine and has a big citrus nose. The flavors are a unique blend of tropical fruits, big peach, citrus, “our melon thing”, passionfruit, coconut and an underlying dankness. This beer is extremely aromatic, crushable and smooth with an BIG #EQjuice profile that might just leave you seeing beautiful shapes and spirals.

Sporting a new label, Harvester of Science is back. We took our Head Brewer’s favorite beer recipe and process and blended in two of our favorite new-school hops to give birth to a new beer: Harvester of Science.
It has aromas of passion fruit, bright pine, drippy drippy peach, berry and pineapple. The taste is a tropical juice balanced by pine and a firm but rounded bitterness with some dank notes. This batch has an explosive #EQjuice profile and will have you loving science just as much as we do.

Juice = Juice is back! This time with our hand selected Citra and Galaxy and an increased dry hop. Juice = Juice was born when we had Great Notion in the lab to review, axioms, hypothesis, postulates, and proofs to derive and fuse our juice tactics together to make a beer bursting with extreme flavor. We used a malt bill of heavy wheat along with a combination of flaked oats and oat malt for the foundation. We whirlpooled heavy with Citra and Idaho 7 and finished it with a big Galaxy dryhop.
Juice = Juice pours a bright straw yellow and gives off big aromas of pulpy tropical juice. The flavor follows, with a jumbo medley of island fruits, big peach notes, and a touch of dankness. You’ll notice a mild bitterness upfront, pillow like mouth feel midway and a smooth juicy finish at the end making it extremely balanced and drinkable.
We are extremely happy with B2. Did we beat B1 on another beer again? You’ll need to do some calculations and let us know.

When you’re a hungry Astronaut in Deep Space, you eat Astronaut Ice Cream and Astronaut Strawberries… or at least that’s what we conceptualized when we zoomed with Sean and the boys from Cerebral.
Deep Space Brain Freeze starts with a mash up off our two favorite bases and adds a large amount of Astronaut Foods Neapolitan Ice Cream Sandwiches and freeze dried Strawberries before additional conditioning on Cacao Nibs and Madagascar Vanilla. Deep Space Brain Freeze pours midnight black with a tan head tinted with light ruby red hue. Melded flavors of liquid brownie batter, sweet vanilla frosting, chocolate wafers and strawberry Quik complement the heavy chocolate base which is all wrapped up into a melted ice cream finish.

TABA Riwaka is our Farmhouse IPA dry hopped with Riwaka. TABA is our rotating series that explores hop interaction with our There and Back Again cultures. This Farmhouse IPA is a collaborative effort with our dear friend Dr. Jason Rodriguez. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create a reproducible process that produces a beautiful and elegant farmhouse ale that is dry, slightly tart, full of flavor, and super drinkable. The interplay of our slow souring process, its respective microorganisms, hops, bitterness, gravity manipulation, and minerality have been through countless iterations over the years. We took our There and Back Again cultures and allowed it ferment over several months before dry hopping it with Riwaka. We then bottle conditioned it for several months prior to today’s release. It pours a vibrant golden yellow releasing aromas and flavors of tropical fruit, funk, grassy passionfruit, earth, honeysuckle, fresh from the barn skinny margarita and lovely pops of lime all wrapped up with a balanced acidity. This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.

Sparticle Beam is our newest DIPA based off a graduated version of one of our favorite Pale Ales of 2020, Sparticle Physics. Phasers, rayguns, ion cannons, disruptors use beams of high-energy particles to engage their targets similar to how Sparticle Beam uses an aggressive hop bill of Strata and Citra to engage your palate. When scaling up a beer we already love, the results are lethally delicious.
Sparticle Beam starts off with a big dose of oats and wheat for the base and an astronomical amount of Strata and Citra in both the whirlpool and dry hop. Pouring a glowing yellow, aromas of dank peach and lime are at the forefront with flavors of big citrus, stone fruit, dank pineapple, lime, and the devils lettuce. With a pillow like mouthfeel laced with tropical fruit this beer sends a waves of #EQjuice flavor and assaults all the senses.

A fractal is something simple at the core that can produce wonderful and amazingly complex results. This series helps us investigate how different hops manifest through our processes and allows us to optimize both our use of hops and our hopping techniques.
This beer is made with only pale malt and a Vic Secret and Galaxy hop bill. Fractal Vic Secret / Galaxy pours hazy-straw yellow releasing aromas of papaya and smarties candy with flavors of ruby red grapefruit, fresh lime, and kush. The taste is clean and dank with a light bitterness. This newest iteration in the experimental series makes the name “Fractal Vic Secret / Galaxy” warranted indeed.
