Players

on July 3, 2019 No comments

This Friday 07/05, starting at 5pm at the brewery, we are excited to bring you a collaborative American Imperial Stout with our friends fromThree Chiefs Brewing, Players (11.0% ABV). $16 per bottle, limit 4 bottles per person. Limit subject to change.

When Charles, Nate, Gerard, and Kramer came to Middletown, we took them to one of our favorite local watering holes, Players. After some joking around and a long… long… night of hanging out, jokes became reality and our collaboration was named. Players is an American Imperial Stout brewed with Madagascar vanilla beans, Fiji cacao nibs, toasted coconut, and Mostra Coffee ghost bear espresso. No lactose was harmed in this beers creation. It pours jet black with a beautiful deep tan head. The dynamics of the relative adjunct strength shift as the beer warms and time lengthens. The creamy flavor is a medley of some of our favorite things: coffee at first and then a transformation to chocolate brownie batter sprinkled with toasted coconut flakes followed by notes of vanilla-marshmallow to balance it out. As it’s one of our longest boils yet, the viscosity and body is thick. We recommend drinking this at or near room temperature to experience all the adjuncts have to offer. We recommend NOT cellaring this beer to enjoy its fresh coffee and coconut character.

Walk Under The Sky

on July 2, 2019 No comments

This FRIDAY 07/05, starting at 5pm at the brewery, we are bringing you the next beer in the cloud series, Walk Under The Sky (8.0 % ABV DIPA) at $20 per 4-pk, limit 1 case per person. Limit subject to change.

Walk Under The Sky uses the same amount of oats as Cirrus and WOTS to give you that extremely pillowy mouthfeel, but has a different hop ratio along with a touch of lactose. The biggest difference is the Energy dry hop process we gave it. Like Deviation, this process gives the beer a bolder, brighter, and more tropical fruit cup flavor for maximum juiciness and and drinkability. This beer is smooth, bright, fruity, crushable, and has our #EQJuice finish.

We’ll also be announcing another can, in addition to a bottle that we made with some friends from Cali 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽. You know where to be Friday afternoon.

Deviation

on June 26, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 06/29, starting at 11:30am at the brewery, we will introduce Deviation (10.5% ABV TIPA) at $22 per 4-pk, limit 1 case per person. Limit subject to change.

Something that lies away from its natural central tendency is called a Deviation.

We took Straight out of the Laboratory’s massive citra hop bill and applied our new Energy Dry Hop process from Energy Equals to bring you even more juiciness and drinkability than already found in our line of TIPAs; i.e. a TIPA deviation.

Deviation pours a very bright tangerine color and has an absolutely explosive tropical nose with the brightness exuding from the can as soon as it’s cracked open. We find the flavors to be remarkable and some of our deepest yet. Fresh squeezed OJ, mango, lychee, and pineapple lead the way with light hints of lime and grass. The finish is big while being light in body, balanced, and extremely smooth for its ABV. The escalating#EQjuice buildup really shines here.

There is plenty of talk at the brewery on whether or not this dethrones SOTL, we’ll let you be the judge.

Walk On The Sky ☁️ 🚶🏻‍♂️☁️ uses the same amount of oats as Cirrus, but utilizes different hops and a touch of lactose. Austin Cranberry Lime

on June 13, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 06/15, starting at 11:30am at the brewery, we will be selling bottles of Austin Cranberry / Lime. $16 per bottle. Limit set at 6 bottles per person, limits subject to change.

Austin (6.0%ABV) is a farmhouse ale built by the inspiration to share beer with people close to heart. It is pale, tart, delicate, and complex with a bit of pleasant funk. Austin was then refermented on cranberry and lime at a rate of more than 2 lbs of fruit per gallon for additional months. It’s jammy and tart but shows a very restrained acidity while the fruit character is boosted by the expression of our microorganisms. This summer crusher is one of the most balanced variants of Austin yet. This beer is unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and will continue to evolve over time if properly cellared.

Cirrus

This Saturday 06/15, starting at 11:30am at the brewery, we are happy to bring you a new beer, Cirrus (8.5 % ABV DIPA) at $20 per 4-pk, limit 1 case per person. Limit subject to change.

Cirrus ☁️ utilizes our largest addition of oats yet in an effort to make a super pillowy, fun, and fluffy beer. For hops, we used a mix of Idaho 7, Enigma, Citra, and Galaxy. The aroma is sweet Valencia oranges, stone fruit, and pineapple with a flavor of tropical citrus, mango, and papaya, with a light pine earthiness. There is a big #EQjuice finish coupled with an outrageously soft and pillowy mouthfeel. Through science and technique this beer is one of the best rollercoaster rides we’ve taken you on and will truly manipulate your tastebuds.

Breakfast Time Is Relative

on June 6, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 06/08, starting at 11:30am at the brewery, we are happy to bring you Barrel Aged Breakfast Time Is Relative (12.0 % ABV Imperial Stout) at $22 per bottle, limit 3 bottles per person. Limit subject to change.

The ideal time for Breakfast is whenever you want it! Breakfast Time is Relative is barrel aged Special Relativity 2 conditioned with coffee, maple syrup, and lactose. Embracing special relativity’s theme of time, we chose a nice rest in Hill Rock Double Cask Rye barrels from our friends Hillrock Estate Distillery. Hill Rock Distillery produces hand-crafted spirits made with their own grain, floor malted, craft distilled in copper pot still, and aged in fine oak. Special Relativity 2 was allowed to equilibrate for over 8 months in the barrel with charred oak, and smoke flavors to achieve a harmonious and synergistic balance. This beer was than further conditioned on Mostra CoffeeGhost Bear Espresso Blend, Catskill Mountain Sugarhouse maple syrup, and lactose. This beer opens up with strong notes of coffee, Dark Chocolate, Stone Fruit, Caramelized Sugar balanced by maple syrup, oak, bourbon, char, and Its flavor follows the aroma with a full viscous body and a smooth chocolate-bourbon palate linger that lets you enjoy the transition time between sips as it warms your soul. This beer should be served near room temperature (~68 F) to enjoy the bouquet of complexity that went into its creation.

NOTE: we recommend NOT cellaring this beer to beer to enjoy its fresh coffee character. We are also pleased to have the artwork from our friend and local illustrator Julia Green.

Dream Wave Distortion

on June 5, 2019 No comments

We took Dream Wave Fluctuation, our collab with our friends from Brooklyn and blurred the lines to explore what it would would be like with a life as a TIPA. This aggressively hopped galaxy and citra forward triple uses oats and lactose to match Other Half’s Dream treatment and creates a scaled up and dangerously drinkable version of its predecessor.

Dream Wave Distortion pours a hazy tangerine color. It has big aromas of passion fruit, melon, peach, cream, and pineapple with a matching flavor profile. Utilizing some of our latest techniques, this triple is lethally smooth with a bright, luscious, and creamy sorbet #EQjuicefinish.

More to come..

Energy Equals

on May 30, 2019 No comments

This Saturday 06/01, starting at 11:30am at the brewery, we are happy to bring you Energy Equals (8.0 % ABV DIPA) at $18 per 4-pk, limit 1 case per person. Limit subject to change.

Energy Equals is a companion beer to MC². It completes the equation. Aside from debuting some awesome artwork from local illustrator, @juliagreenartistwhosings, we wanted to start with MC² as a base as it’s the beer we know best and incorporate new process techniques from dHop16, Imperium, and Experimentum as a comparison to see how these process tweaks would manifest and play out. Energy Equals has enhanced flavor characteristics of mango, pineapple, citrus, and apricot. With the new technique in place, we notice a much deeper flavor profile while being extremely bright and lighter in body. It’s extremely crushable with our #EQjuice finish. For science, we will also have MC² available for a side by side comparison.

We love the can artwork!
